FAMOUS NAME CHANGES

So, you thought Vin Diesel was a unique and original name...well, guess what??  That's not even his real name!   Check out what his real name is, along with other stars'  REAL names including Elton John, Woody Allen, Marilyn Monroe,  Charlie Sheen, Spike Lee, Jennifer Aniston, Meg Ryan, Cher, Goldie Hawn, and many more on this interesting site!  **Once you get to the home page, click on the "go" button in the bottom right hand corner**

STUPID VIDEOS

This is a site that lives up to its name but you might find a few funny items here.  I really didn't think it was better than America's Funniest Home Videos, but then, I don't think much of that show either.  It has  hundreds of videos of people doing stupid stuff: pranks,  accidents, funny animals, crazy stunts, etc. Just like America's  Funniest Home Videos but much better. Sort the videos  alphabetically, top rated, bottom rated, most watched, least  watched, and by the newest videos.

BEST OF HISTORY WEBSITES

Good history info on the web is as vast as history itself, so visitors will find a trip to Best of History Web Sites useful preparation for the tour. A portal created for students, history educators and history buffs, the site rates all the other history sites to make it easier to find the most useful and accurate among them.

Created by a former Harvard prof and current history teacher, the site has  reviewed links to over 700 of the most stimulating history-related web sites, with a focus on those offering multimedia technologies. Categories cover pre-history to 20th century, links send you to lesson plans and  multimedia resources, and a special section on technology rates articles that help integrate computers into the classroom.

INTERNET PUBLIC LIBRARY

I learned of this at a SIG recently.  It has all sorts of books and reference material  you can download and read at your leisure.  It's a public service of the University of Michigan School of Information and contains almost anything you'd like to know - I think.

Give it a try at http://www.ipl.org.

BRITANNICA

This is another information filled site that I'm sure I've mentioned before.  It contains the content of Encyclopedia Britannica, at least in a limited form because they're still trying to sell their "million book" printed version.  It's well worth a look, though.   Visit this site for any of your history, status, or bibliography needs.
