ICON'S holiday party was a huge success. I donned my Santa Claus hat, and after a delicious dinner, everyone there received a nice gift. All of us must have been very good during the last year (deleting unnecessary files and keeping hard drives defragged) because nobody got a lump of coal or a bag of switches.

Now that the holidays are past, we can get back into whatever each of us calls a normal routine. I sincerely hope that each of you will make ICON'S various functions a part of your "normal routine." We work very hard to provide a good program each month and we have six active Special Interest Groups (SIGS) to answer your questions and provide ongoing training in all areas of interest for our members. Besides the various meetings, ICON'S web site (www.iconusersgroup.org) is available 24/7 to provide valuable information and up-to-date schedules of events.

One of the things we're going to do this year is to have door prizes at as many meetings as possible to encourage better attendance. Be sure to attend as many events as you can in order to increase your chances of winning some nice free stuff!

ICON is now producing an informational brochure for you to hand out to people you talk with who would enjoy learning more about using their computers and sharing in the fun of ICON. You can receive some nice awards for referring new members to the group. Pick up some of these brochures from Bill Patrick or myself at all ICON events.
