A. To get the copyright symbol in WordPad, with the NumLock
key on, press and hold the Alt key and in the number key pad
type 0169. When you release the Alt key, you'll have your
copyright symbol. This works as well in NotePad and MS Word
and perhaps other word processors.
If you're using MS Word, you can also click on Insert >
Symbol >Special Characters. Click on copyright symbol and
then the Insert button. A keyboard shortcut is also available:
press and hold keys Alt + Ctrl + C. Other copyright symbols
are shown on the Symbols tab under different fonts.
Q. How is a group set up in Outlook Express?
I want to send email to a group without having to send a whole
bunch of individual emails.
A. A group name can be created when sending a message to
several people at once. When you want to send a message, just
type in the name of the group in the To box. In Outlook Express,
click on the Address Book, click on New, select New Group
and type in a name for the Group.
Names can be added to the group by several methods:
1) click on the Select Members button, hold down the Ctrl
key and click on the names of the people in your existing
address book that you want, then click the Add button and
click OK.
2) Click on the New Contact button to type the new name and
email address, click Add and then OK. This adds the new name
to both your main contact list and the group.
3) To add someone to the group but not to your main contact
list, click on the name of the group, then File and Properties
and type in the name and email at the bottom of the Group
box. Click Add and OK.
Clicking on the Group Details tab gives you a place to add
a street address, etc. With that information filled in and
a connection to the Internet, clicking on View Map takes you
to Expedia and shows a detail map of where the address is
located.
