We had a great visit from Microsoft at the October general meeting!
Rita Oates shared some of the highlights of MS Office 2003, the
newest version of the popular office suite. As we have all come
to expect from Microsoft, Rita had lots of very nice door prizes,
including several copies of the pro version of the office suite,
an mp3 player, and an X-Box (the ultimate game machine)!
ICON'S October 25th SIGS, were held at The Library Station, the
newest addition to Springfield's library system. If you haven't
visited this facility, I highly recommend that you make time to
do so. It is located at 2535 N. Kansas Expressway, between Kearney
St. and I-44. You can get there from the south side of Springfield
by taking U.S. 65 north to I-44, west to Kansas Expressway (exit
no.77), then south on Kansas a few short blocks to The Library Station
(located on the west side of the street). Watch for the sign, or
follow your nose to Panera Bread Co. The theme for this branch of
our library is transportation, and it is as beautiful as The Library
Center. ICON is grateful to be allowed to use the facilities provided
as a public service by the Springfield-Greene County Library District.
