Our January speaker is Bonnie Brockman, who is a former business
education teacher and Missouri state supervisor of business
education. For the past 2-1/2 years, she has been training
business education and assistive technology teachers across
the nation on how to use and teach speech recognition. She
will be demonstrating the latest version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking
(7.0 Preferred) and will also demonstrate handwriting recognition
that is included in Office XP.
Speech recognition use is growing rapidly in business and
industry -- especially in the medical and legal arenas. Of
course, it is especially useful for those who suffer from
repetitive stress injuries including carpal tunnel syndrome.
After only a few hours of training and practice, most users
can voice type at speeds of 130-170 wpm at 98% accuracy.
You are going to love it!
