A. Select the text you want to save from the emails,
press Ctrl C for Copy, open Word, and press Ctrl V to
Paste. Go to File and Save As: filename in My Documents
folder.
Q. How do I save them to a floppy disk?
A. Select the filenames in My Documents or wherever
folder you have them, right-click anywhere in the highlighted
selection and select Send to floppy drive A: and they
should start flying.
Q. How do I forward a group of e-mails
to another account?
A. Select the emails you want to send by clicking on
the first one to highlight it and then hold down the
Shift key if the files are next to each other in the
list or Ctrl if they're separated, click on Forward
and type in the email address and subject, then click
on Send. The emails go through as attachments.
Q. How do I save Favorites to disk?
A. In Windows XP, with Internet Explorer open, click on
File and Import and Export. This opens the Import/Export
Wizard, click Next, click on Export Favorites and Next.
Select the folder or folders you want to save to disk
(such as SBC Yahoo DSL) and click Next. If the radio button
beside Export to a File or Address isn't selected, click
in it to select it; the default is to save the file in
My Documents or you can send it to a floppy disk or CD
burner. The file exports as bookmark.htm, a web file and
therefore can be directly imported into another browser.
Q. Can I print Favorites?
A. You can open the exported file, but since it's in .htm
format, it won't make a lot of sense unless you know how
to program web pages. What you can do, is open a word
processor or two-column spreadsheet document and then
Copy and Paste the individual Favorites items. Grab the
right edge of the Favorites window and drag it as far
to the right as possible so you can see all of the link
title, highlight and Copy and Paste the title, then click
on the title to open the site and in the address bar,
highlight and Copy and Paste the address into your form.
Pressing Alt and Tab will move you between windows easily.
When you've completed your file, be sure to Save As and
you can print the file whenever you wish.
