Program Chairman Nancy Preffitt introduced Jonathan Groves,
Assistant Editor of the Springfield News Leader who explained
how important Computers and the Internet is to Newspaper Editors
for getting articles ready for newspaper publishing. The part
of his presentation that really held our attention was Mr.
Groves's knowledge of using Windows XP and things you can
do to customize your computer. He mentioned not to worry about
doing something wrong. He also suggested that you Back-up
your information often and be cautious if you get into the
Computer Registry unless you really feel qualified to do so.
The audience was attentive and asked many good questions of
Mr. Groves. Overall, it was a very informative presentation.
This meeting closed at 3:15 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
Bill Patrick, Secretary
