This meeting was held in the Auditorium of The Library Center on South Campbell starting at 1:00 PM With ICON'S President Mary Phillips presiding. New Members and visitors were recognized and given a hearty welcome.

Bill Patrick gave the Secretary's report, thanking all who renewed their ICON memberships for another year. Bill talked about basic classes being instructed at the South Side Senior Center and at St. John's.

Sarah Marshall gave a Treasurer's report, stating ICON is in a sound financial condition

Program Chairman Terry Roberts went over some of the upcoming events planned for ICON: the Picnic, Speakers for July and various programs in the hopper for our main monthly meetings. He then introduced Paul Duckworth, collection development coordinator at the Springfield -Greene County Library. Paul told us about how computer technology has changed the way librarians do their jobs and how we as Library Card holders may access information right from our home, reserve books, tapes and search for information from the library's home page and other links all over the country. Paul then answered many questions from the group.

This meeting closed at 3:20 PM after thanking Paul Duckworth for his Library Presentation.
