ICON'S August meeting was another great one! Mindshare representative Richard Katz enlightened us with many of the newest features available to MSN members, and entertained us with his colorful personality. MSN is an acronym for Microsoft Networks. It is a huge Internet portal offering access to anywhere on the web along with many fun and useful features and services to its members.
Two of the features he demonstrated were: MSN Messenger, a fun way to converse with others in real time while online, and "Photos Plus," a feature of MSN's premium service has photo managing capabilities that include editing, dynamic slide show creation, and 30 mb of online storage…very impressive!

ICON'S "second Saturday" SIGS for September, were preempted due to the annual picnic. Good food, good friends, and good fun! What could be better?

The program for September will feature our friend, Roger Pfeiffer of DictaComm Services Inc. Roger is always a hit. His knowledge of hardware and networking is truly vast, and he always answers lots of our questions when he visits with us. His topic will be Home Networks, and because so many of us have gone to "always on" Internet service, he has agreed to share with us his views about protecting ourselves from virus attacks, hackers, and malware.

We're planning a program on Adobe Photoshop, so don't miss our October 16th meeting.
