ICON'S Vice-President Nancy Preffitt opened this monthly meeting by welcoming everyone in attendance. Nancy asked for a show of hands for visitors and new members, saying we were happy that they had chosen to spend the afternoon with ICON.

A Treasurers report was given. Secretary Bill Patrick gave a brief report on ICON'S Annual Picnic that was held just one week earlier. Saturday September 11 at the Silver Springs Park. Over 69 people attended. A large variety of food was enjoyed. Many participated in the prize drawings. Nancy turned the balance of the meeting over to Program Chairman Terry Roberts who introduced Roger Pfeiffer of Dictacomm Services who spoke about how to set up a home network and about protecting ourselves from attacks while using the Internet.

Roger answered many questions from the group before ending the meeting at 3:15 PM.
