A. The bottom line, as I understand it, is that there
will no longer be the FREE quick email "download
and immediately disconnect from the phone line"
service, but if you go to the Juno website at http://www.juno.com/upgrade
and click to download the latest version of the program,
we will still have 10 hours of free email-on-the-web
service per month per household to read and write email
online or surf the web from http://webmail.juno.com.
We will have 2MB of online email storage with spam and
anti-virus protection, and Junk Mail Filters on our
email and we will be able to access our email from anywhere
that has a computer with Internet access.
However, you can still have the quick "download
and disconnect" service if you purchase*
either the SpeedBand ($9.95 a month for 12 months) or
Platinum ($6.95 a month for 12 months). MegaMail (additional
$.83 a month, first month free) is included as a part
of SpeedBand but can be added to Platinum or Free service.
MegaMail 100 (additional $2.08 a month, first month
free) can be added to either SpeedBand or Platinum or
Free service. The email we received was somewhat misleading,
and I hope this clarifies the available services. See
charts here.
*These are special prices for upgrading
from a free account.
