What a great program we had for the October meeting! Alva Hazell showed us how to lasso a particular region of a photo or drawing, and insert it as a layer into another one. Adobe Photoshop is truly the standard by which other graphics programs are measured!

Alva promised he would come back and do another presentation for us at a later time. I think we'll take him up on the offer.

We're still planning, for the November 20th meeting, to have the latest in computer/electronic gadgets for the Christmas gift giving season. Mark your calendars now, and don't miss this chance to see what you can give the technophiles on your shopping list.

Our "Focus on Security" has been pretty successful. Those who attended some of the events learned to recognize the threats facing them whenever they are connected to the Internet. We have tried to cover as broad a range of security issues as possible during this series, and we are about to wind it up, but we will continue trying to keep you informed about the subject as time goes on.

I promised to make Home Networking our next focus topic, so I'm working on a schedule of events to cover this.
