This meeting was held on Saturday January 15 th at the Library Center on South Campbell starting 1:00 PM. ICON’S President Mary Phillips welcomed everyone present and thanked all for attending our Main Meeting. Mary announced that ICON a third place winner of two International 2004 awards from entries submitted, to the Association of Personal Computer Users Groups (APCUG) which ICON has been a member since 1991.

One Is The Jerry's Award, which ICON received in 1999 and in 2000. This 2004 Third place Jerry's Award Plus a $500.00 Check, is for ICON’S ongoing project of Community Services. Instructing basic computer classes, for St. John’s Seniors since January 1998 and at the South Side Senior Center since October of 1998 how to use a computer. Bill and Faye Patrick, Betty Spence, Max Lilley and Marvin Anderson were recognized for their services during 2004.

The second third place APCUG winning is for ICON’S 2004 Web page entry. Sarah Marshall and Terry Roberts were recognized for their dedicated service to the project. Mary made other announcements one being about a change of meeting location for ICON'S February 12 SIG Springfield Fire Station #6, 2620 W. Battlefield St , also starting time is 10 am.

Mary turned the balance of the meeting over to David Oliver who reminded everyone that tax return filing time would soon be approaching us, David Oliver who does tax returns talked about different phases of the filing requirements. After a question and answer session this meeting was closed at 2:45 PM.
