As some of you may have noticed, I didn’t get a program topic posted on ICON’s web site for our March 19 th meeting, and attendance was rather low. I don’t know if the two things were related, but I will try to do better in the future.
After a short Q & A session, the program turned out to be successful, thanks to ICON member Gary Kirkpatrick, who shared some insight into building an e-Bay business.
This wasn’t your average, “How do I list an item on e-Bay?” spiel. Gary has been using the popular auction service since 1996, but has recently begun building a business out of it. He covered such things as bidder and seller ratings, setting up an e-Bay store, and using the privileges included with being a merchant to link to your own E-tail establishment.
Gary has offered to help others with e-Bay and/or help with a SIG on the subject. Anybody who is interested, please let me know, and we will work out the details.
Thanks Gary, for an informative program, and for sharing some valuable insight.
As of this writing, I don’t have a program for April, (or anytime beyond) but I am working on it. Any help would be much appreciated.
Happy Computing,
Terry
