Cell Phone Emergency Numbers
Charles Smart sent me an email about an emergency cell phone number to call a police dispatcher to verify that an unmarked car flashing a red light is actually a police vehicle. Dorothy McCurdy sent me one that had an emergency cell phone number for contacting a highway patrol dispatcher. To verify our local numbers I checked with the following:
Missouri Highway Patrol—dial *55 for a dispatcher in Missouri. Numbers differ from state to state.
Greene County Sheriff and Springfield Police Department both—dial 911 for a dispatcher to connect to a dispatcher. Please stay safe and check with local law enforcement if you’re in another area!
