Q. How can I get a PowerPoint presentation to run using the full screen?

A. To open and run a PowerPoint file from Windows Explorer, locate the file and right click on the filename then click on Show on the drop down menu. The presentation or slide show will automatically begin in full screen mode. The end or stop the presentation, press on the Esc key on the keyboard.

To open a PowerPoint presentation to work with individual slides, double click on the filename. To run the presentation from within the PowerPoint program from the open slide, just press the F5 key.

Q. Windows Media Player 9 is on my computer and I’m trying to connect to a radio show. The Media Player shows that something is Now Playing, but I can’t hear anything and nothing happens when I adjust the slide at the lower left corner of the screen. How do I turn on the sound?

A. With Windows Media Player open, click on Play then Volume. The default setting is Mute. Click on Up on the menu. This will turn on the sound and you will then be able to adjust the volume with the slide. If you want to Mute the sound again when the phone rings or someone needs attention click on Play > Volume > Mute.

Q. What does the Juno Backup Wizard backup ?

A. Juno Backup utility works with Juno version 5.0 to backup or restore your Juno email, Address Book, external email account settings, personal Spell Check dictionary, and other user Juno settings.

To check the version, open Juno email and click on Help > About Juno. For specific instructions about using the utility go to http://www.juno.com/support/50/backup-wiz.html or http://tinyurl.com/8eb5m.

Q. How do I change the picture beside my login name in Windows XP?
A. Once you have logged in, follow the path Start > Control Panel > User Accounts and click on your account name. Click on Change my picture and either select a picture from the choice provided or click on Browse for more pictures and go find one you like. I just browsed and found a picture of the Jones coat of arms that I selected. Click on the X in the upper right-hand corner of the window to close. Picture formats, or image files, that can be used have the ending 3-letter extensions .jpg, .bmp, .gif, or .png.
