This meeting was held in the St John's Cancer Center 2055 S. Fremont Avenue, starting at 1:00 pm.
ICON'S president Mary Phillips opened this meeting by welcoming everyone present , recognizing visitors and ICON'S newest members. Mary had a brief agenda which included included a plea for members to do some community service during the Ozark Empire Fair.
The Springfield-Greene County Library District has asked for ICON's help at the Ozark Empire Fair, Friday, July 29 through Sunday, August 7. During designated times, kids will be allowed to board the Library Express to play games on the (4 or 5) laptop computers.
During other times, kids will have their digital photo taken with Leo, the Library Lion. (These times are designated as Leo Photos on the schedule.)
Sarah Marshall has a sign up list on ICON'S Web Page for volunteers to choose the shift which will be convienent for them to help and has said she will be happy to answer other questions members may have. There are 35 different shifts to be filled during this ten day event.
Mary talked about SmartComputing Magazine Subscription Users' Group Special urging members to take advantage of it.
Elsa Hazell gave a report on Clarence's recovery and asked members not to forget him and and the help he has given ICON over the past fifteen years.
Mary called on Terry Roberts for today's program which was Computer technology with City Untilities and how they are using it, presented by their representative and speaker Kathy Fritts. After this interesting presentation this meeting closed at 3:15 pm.
