THERE AREN'T ANY STUPID QUESTIONS

by (Name Withheld by Request)

I didn’t know what to use a computer for, but my son and his wife were always after me to get one so we could stay in touch by email. I bought a HP at Circuit City and got on the internet with AOL.

As I said, I didn’t know what to do so I took a class from Bill Patrick at Southside Senior Center to learn how to do email.

In the class, we learned how to use WordPad for typing a letter and I was using it to write a letter to my sister. Somehow, the bar at the bottom of the screen got over on the right side and was very wide. I was afraid I did something wrong so I didn’t tell anyone about it for three or four months.

The problem was the bar covered up the X and minus buttons at the top of the windows and sometimes I couldn’t close down a window.

I went to several meetings at ICON and didn’t hear anything about my problem. I didn’t want to ask because I thought it was too stupid a question, but I asked Terry Roberts about it. He said it was a common problem and showed me how to move it back to the bottom by dragging it. Boy was I surprised!

Glad I asked,
