HUMOROUS STORIES

This site provides "explanations" for all the strange stories we hear/read. It presumably has decided what’s truth and what’s fiction. Some of it was pretty funny, but I got bored with it before I finished reading everything. Still, it’s worth a few minutes if you have time to kill. http://www.truthorfiction.com/index-humor.htm

STRANGE NEW PRODUCTS

You know those strange, useless, but utterly enjoyable gadgets and inventions you are always hearing about? Well they are out there somewhere, but how and where can you find them, and maybe even buy them? Read about the Psychotronic Wishing Machine, Etch-A-Sketch Lollipops, Chocolate Toothpaste and other new, weird products on the market. Again, this is in poor taste at times, full of useless information at others, but it is kinda fun to read! http://www.strangenewproducts.com/

HUMMINGBIRDS' NEXT

This is an amazing set of pictures of a hummingbird nest that follows the growth of the birds from eggs until they leave the nest. I looked at all the pictures, and was amazed at the end when the nest was empty to see how small it really was compared to a toothpick and a penny. Check it out at: http://community.webtv.net/Velpics/HUM

GREAT QUESTIONS OF HISTORY

American History buffs will enjoy this fascinating list of "Great" historical questions. There are particularly interesting queries on Malcolm X, JFK, FDR, and Joseph McCarthy. You can express your opinion and see how your responses match with the general public and historians. http://www.greatquestionsofhistory.com/
