EINSTEIN LIGHT

If you want to impress others with your great intelligence, check out this site! It’s fun to watch, but to tell you the truth, I still don’t understand Einstein’s theory. I may be even more confused.

You will get a crash course on Einstein's famous theory at this cool site, created by the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. The Einstein Light is a fun, interactive way to learn the finer points of relativity. http://www.phys.unsw.edu.au/einsteinlight/

MUFFIN FILMS

Amy Winfrey is the animation whiz behind cult Internet comics "Big Bunny" and "Making Fiends". Ms. Winfrey created the Muffin Films animated series for her thesis project at the UCLA Animation Workshop while she must have been in a strange frame of mind! It’s a little hard to navigate the site, but click on some of the items beneath the muffin tin and you’ll go other places. The whole site is one of those fascinating, sick-o sorts of places. Maybe I’m just too old! Hope you enjoy it!

Kick back and watch a few of the dozen short animated films, then check out the "Souvenirs" section of the site. Highlights of the series include "Muffinesque", "The Muffinless", and "Beware". http://www.muffinfilms.com/index.htm

EPHEMERA NOW

This is a neat site that I spent entirely too much time on. All the new 50’s cars looked usual to me. I remember when they came out! Again, it’s not easy to navigate, but if you’ll click on a picture, you’ll go to the next one, a’la a slide show. Some of the ads are weird. They have a futuristic interpretation of QVC and Home Shopping Network on one of them! The site is divided up by categories such as "Décor", "Advertorium" and "Cars". http://www.ephemeranow.com/

PENGUIN BALL

I think I’ve listed this one before, but I ran across it recently and it’s still fun! I’m not sure why I enjoy batting that poor penguin, but it really does relieve some stress. And take care or you’ll find that you’ve spent an hour “playing” this silly game of penguin ball. http://n.ethz.ch/student/mkos/pinguin.swf

CHEAP(?) GASOLINE

Click on this one to get a listing of the cheapest gas prices in your area. Just plug in your zip code and it tells you which gas stations have the cheapest prices (and the highest) on gas in your zip code. It’s updated every evening. http://autos.msn.com/everyday/gasstations.aspx?zip=&src=Netx_
