Today was ICON'S all day meeting “March of Technology" starting at 8:30 am and ending at 5 pm. Held at The Library Center 4653 S. Campbell.
Many of ICON workers had already arrived earlier, tables were set in the hallway near the front entrance, vendors were allowed to display their latest products and technology, but not allowed to exchange any merchandise for money. Room A was setup as the clinic for sick computers. Room B displayed computers of the past and had free refreshments.
Secretary Bill Patrick shared ICON'S information table with Shannon Rumley, Dona DeJong and others who worked other shifts during the day, Shannon and I passed out a free utility CD. The Auditorium was busy all day with speakers, free door prize after each session. With the keynote speakers were Roger Tesch our regional 7 Representative of APCUG, the national organization of which ICON has been a member since 1991
Our hats go off to all the ICON Officers and members who help make this event a big success, especially the Library Center, Terry Roberts, Sarah Marshall and Faye Patrick for their long hours of labor, planning, printing and arranging for this big day. So many had a hand in this event it's impossible to name everyone.
Watch for your ICON ballot, follow instructions for mailing in or deliver it in person at the April 15th regular ICON Monthly meeting.
Respectfully submitted ,
Bill Patrick, secretary
