June is anniversary month for ICON, and this year marks number 16 for ICON! Our celebration of longevity will be held at the Brentwood Library on the 17th. Cake and ice cream will be served beginning at 12:30 p.m. Charter and life members in attendance will be given special recognition before our regular meeting begins.

Our program, “An In-depth Look at Windows Vista” (and comparison with Windows XP), will be presented by Mike Stief, computer instructor at Everest College here in Springfield.

Mick Topping’s class, “Computer Hands-on with ICON,” will be, from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 p.m. at The Library Center (Harrison Room), entitled “Alternative Web Browsing.” Learn techniques for building, tuning, and surfing with Mozilla Firefox and compare features with Internet Explorer. Registration is required (begins June 6th). Call The Library Center (874-8110) to reserve your seat.
