This meeting was held at The Brentwood Library on Saturday, May 20th, starting at 1:00 P. M. in The Community meeting room. Our president, Mary Phillips, opened this meeting by extending greetings to everyone present. Next, ICON'S newest members were asked to stand and were given a hearty welcome, along with all visitors, Mary outlined her agenda for the day, saying it should be a fun day. One thing on the agenda was to appoint a Bylaws Committee to look over and study ICON'S Bylaws. Any recommended changes will be submitted to the entire membership in writing for their consideration on a specified date.

Other brief announcements were made by some of the other officers and committee chairperson. Newsletter Editor reminded ICON'S authors that it was again time to submit their articles for the June Newsletter addition.

Bill Patrick reminded members that he and Betty Spence instruct free monthly Basic Computer and Internet classes for Seniors. Reservations required. Call 841-0333 for information on dates and class times. You do not need to own a computer to take these classes.

Terry talked about upcoming programs planned, and then turned the balance of the program to Sarah Marshall, who talked about and demonstrated “Blogging?” “What the heck is that, and why would I want to do it?”
