JUST JIGSAWS

This site isn’t Jigzone that I’m sure all puzzle fans know about, but it’s another one to try. I did only one puzzle on it, so didn’t delve into the more complex areas. Seemed pretty good to me, though. http://justjigsawpuzzles.com/

LENA GAMES

I’m not sure that I’ve ever written about this one, but it’s a long time favorite of mine. There are a variety of shareware games on the site. Big Jig is one, but the difference is that there is a new FREE puzzle every week. The old one goes away every week, so you must remember to visit. I’ve got a collection of over a hundred puzzles. You can, of course, buy sets at very reasonable prices, too.

Just in the past couple of weeks, Lena has put a new game up. It’s called Astra Jigsaw Art Edition and it’s very complex. It comes with a few paintings and several sets of cuts. You can do a few pieces of various shapes or a few hundred. You can set up rotation or not. This is also true of Big Jig.

Try her mahjong game, Taipei, too. It’s a nice version of that. There are also many others on site that I’ve not tried, so it should keep you busy for a long time. www.lenagames.com

COOL ILLUSION!

This is a strange little page, but be sure to take a look at it. It will make you wonder at the power of your brain (or lack of it?).

BENEFITS CHECKUP

This service of the National Council on Aging helps people age 55 and over find programs that pay for some prescription-drug, health-care and utilities costs, as well as other essential items or services. To benefit fully, you'll have to fill out one or two online questionnaires. Doing so could well be worth the effort. There are, says the site, millions of Americans eligible for benefits who are not receiving them. http://www.benefitscheckup.org/

JUST A HINT -- NOT A SITE

If you hold down the Ctrl key on your key board and then turn the small wheel in the middle of your mouse away from you or towards you, the print size will change - it will either get larger or smaller - depending on which way you turn the wheel.
