PROGRAM PREPARATIONS

ICON’s October 21 program will be presented by Jazy Mihalik, Director of “The EDGE” Community Technology Center at Midtown Carnegie Library. The EDGE offers free, hands-on classes and self-paced tutorials on a variety of computer-related topics. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about technology-related resources available to us through our library system.

On Tuesday, October 24, at The Library Center (Meeting Room B) , Mick Topping will hold a free, hands-on class in computer graphics. This introductory class will cover computer painting and drawing (and the differences between the two), along with an overview of image-editing programs, use and transfer of graphics, etc. Registration is required. Call The Library Center (874-8110) to reserve your seat.

Continuing through February, ICON will teach one class each month at The EDGE Community Technology Center. If you struggle with organizing your files or you just don’t know how to use Windows’ folder structure, this two-hour class is for you! Check the schedule and prerequisites in the Library Bookends. Registration is required. Call 837-5011 to reserve your seat.
