ICON's monthly general membership meeting on Saturday, November 18th, was held in the Library Center, 4653 South Campbell Avenue, starting at 1 :00 p.m.

Joyce Haubein, in charge of refreshments, invited members and friends arriving to have a cup of coffee.

ICON has purchased a new overhead projector, which was being used today. Members were able to view the screen without having all the lights turned off. This projector cost approximately $1,100, as compared to $4,500 spent just five years ago. Technology has improved and prices have dropped.

ICON’s Christmas/Holiday Party will be held at 3 :00 p.m. on December 16th in a reserved dining room at Ryan's on South Campbell Avenue, following ICON's general membership meeting.

ICON members will tell the cashier when going through the line that they are with THE ICON GROUP. It is estimated the cost per person will be $12.80 including choice of beverage and tip.

Terry announced that plans are being made for the March of Technology, set for Saturday, March 2 th, in the Library Center on South Campbell.

Terry then introduced a representative from STAPLES, who shared with our group High-Tech Holiday Ideas for 2006. After a number of questions and answers, this meeting closed at around 3 :30 p.m.
