Officially, the term for an office is one year; however, ICON has no term limits and officers are frequently reelected.

If you would consider being a candidate for an office, please contact one of the above Committee members and ask for a copy of the Duties of the office or offices you might consider, prior to March 17. If you wish to nominate someone, please discuss it with them and be sure they are willing to serve. At the Membership Meeting on March 17, the names of all candidates will be presented. If one wishes to speak on his/her own behalf or that of someone else, we will allow a brief amount of time.

Each active member or family membership has one vote in the election, and numbered ballots will be mailed no later than March 27. If by chance you do not receive a ballot, contact Secretary Bill Patrick, and he will issue you a new ballot with a new number and void the original number. You should bring your ballot to the meeting on April 21 and place it in the ballot box. However, if you are unable to attend, you may mail or deliver the ballot to Bill in a sealed envelope with the words “ICON BALLOT” written on the outside so it isn’t opened accidentally, causing the ballot to be invalid. All ballots received prior to the election must NOT be opened until the election judges appointed at the meeting do so.
