President Mary Phillips opened this meeting at 1 :00 p.m. by welcoming the members and visitors who were present. This being ICON's 17th anniversary/birthday celebration, many members and visitors had started arriving at 12:30 p.m. to enjoy cake and ice cream.
Mary announced that voting in the election of officers would be closed at 1 :15 p.m.
The Minutes of the May 19, 2007, meeting were presented on the screen and read by Secretary Bill Patrick. A motion was made by Shannon Rumley and seconded by Pat Gavisk that the Minutes be approved as corrected. Motion carried. The Treasurer’s Report was given by Treasurer Shirley Emerson, and were approved as viewed and read.
At 1 :15 p.m. the ballot box was turned over to the Tellers for counting.
The other Officers’ Reports were given: Education Committee by Chair Ed Williams; Membership Committee by Chair Maxine Copeland and Member Fran Miller; Newsletter Committee by Editor Faye Patrick; Web Site Committee by Web Master Sarah Marshall; and Program Committee by Chair Terry Roberts.
Terry further reported that there would be a class on June 19 in the Harrison Room in the Library Center, and that on June 23 SIGs would be held in The Library Center’s Story Hour Room starting at 10 :00 a.m. with the Genealogy SIG, Beginners SIG and Window SIG.
Today’s program was "Unusual and Practical Uses for Digital Cameras" by Harold Hunton.
Just after 4 :00 p.m. the Tellers returned with the election results:

President Mary Phillips announced that she would entertain a motion to install the newly elected officers today. Charles Roberts made a motion, seconded by Janet Twitchell, to install the newly elected officers today. Motion carried.
Mary Phillips had all the new ICON officers come forward and she introduced each one to all present.
The meeting adjourned at 4:20 p.m.
