President Terry Roberts called this meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. in the Brentwood Library. He welcomed everyone present and introduced new members and visitors, encouraging them to attend as often as possible. He then asked for officers’ reports, beginning with Bill Patrick, Secretary, who didn't have any additions or corrections to the minutes published in the current newsletter.

The Treasurer’s Report was on a flash drive. Terry informed Treasurer Shirley Emerson that it had been decided not to project the Treasurer’s Report on the overhead screen.

Faye Patrick, Newsletter Editor, reminded the authors that it was time to submit their newsletter articles as soon as possible.

It was announced that Mick Topping would having a class at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23, at the Library Center, on the subject of "Internet Audio on Demand ."

Terry announced that the date for the 2008 March of Technology will be March 1.

Tips on using a flatbed scanner will be presented on Saturday, November 10, at 12:15 p.m. at The Library Station (Frisco Room).

For the balance of the meeting, we listened to Shawna Page of Great Southern Bank on the topic of "Online Banking and Bill Paying (The Convenience and Security Risks) ." Shawna then answered many questions asked by members and visitors.

This meeting was adjourned at 2 :30 p.m.
