President Terry Roberts called this meeting to order in the Brentwood Library meeting room at 1:00 p.m.
He opened this meeting by greeting everyone present and introducing ICON’s newest members and visitors, saying he was happy to see this large turnout. He then asked for brief officers’ reports, starting with Treasurer Shirley Emerson and Bill Patrick, Secretary. Faye Patrick, Newsletter Editor, thanked members who wrote articles, and suggested that people who have articles for the March issue should get them to her as soon as possible.
He invited everyone to the March of Technology at The Library Center on South Campbell, to be held on March 1 starting at 8:30 a.m.
Terry then announced that hands-on classes are being scheduled at The Library Center and The Library Station with a limited number of laptop computers available at these classes.
Our guest speaker, Gary Strunk, Art Instructor at Springfield’s Central High School, presented a program on "Drawing, Doodling, and Painting...Digitally," which focused on fun and practical uses of digital graphics creation and manipulation. Questions were then asked and answered.
Respectfully submitted,
Bill Patrick, Secretary
