Our President, Terry Roberts, opened the meeting at approximately 1PM. He greeted each of the members and visitors before itemizing our calendar of events each month. After a brief report from the officers, he turned the meeting over to Mick Topping, who talked about the possible advantages of watching TV on our computers. For one thing, we could skip the commercials. He talked about the various venues for getting started. Actually, you can go to his web page at http://mtopping.us and be walked through the process of setting up your computer to replace the TV. Some of these programs are more directed to news, some are for music and other sites are for entertainment only. After the class, individual stations around the room were for helping with problems we might have with our home computers. Remember, no question is "dumb", only the questions we fail to ask, therefore we don’t get the answer.
